Concept and Sketches

Jenga is an animation I created after visiting Game Haus, a board game cafe located in Glendale, California. I was inspired by the energy and coziness of the environment while having a heated battle of Jenga with my friends. There are a lot of fun and quirky elements I added in this animation to convey that atmosphere. Ultimately, I wanted to tell the story of how sometimes even the most experienced player will lose to something called "Beginner's Luck," which I had a lot of according to my friends.
